Bill McGregor Port Commissioner

Port Commissioner Bill McGregor has been involved with Ports in Washington State for over 42 years. He has worked on the staff level with the Ports of Tacoma, Olympia and Grays Harbor. In 2000, he retired from the Port of Grays Harbor, moved back to Lacey and went to work for Saint Martins University as the Director of Facilities Management. In 2006, he was appointed to a vacant Port of Olympia Commission seat and has been in that elected position ever since.

He has been a Rotarian since 2007 in the Lacey Rotary Club – Serving as President 2013‐2014 and has been serving as the Area Governor with Lacey, Gateway, Hawks Prairie and Yelm clubs for the last 3 years.

He and his wife have been foster parents for over 39 years. They have opened their home to children for a night, for weeks, months and have had several stay for multiple years. They have 5 children and 14 grandchildren and one great grandchild!!
